I think its called bootleg, because its not your work and maybe it looks like a work you will just boot. Due to the fact that it was someone's work.

ReplyDeleteIts called bootleg because its an bad copy of the original. Like for example the people that sell bootleg DVDs right in front of 161's movie theater.
ReplyDeleteIt's called bootleg when something is fake or copied because back in the days, horseman wore long boots that covered up most of their legs, which then turned into a hiding place for prohibited things. So there for something that is fake such as CD's is considered bootleg because it's prohibited.
